GNO's

In between moving, stressing, showing off the apartment, and cleaning every.single.day, I have actually got to spend some time with my girl friends. Let me tell you it has been way too long since I have had an actual girls night (up until now obviously).
First things first, cause this is totally on my mind right now.
I think that as I've gotten older, my insecurity around people has diminished. Sure, I'm still super self conscious, but since I've graduated high school, been out on my own, and married, I've been more willing to put myself out there a little bit more. Shove myself out of my comfort zone and make friends that are out of the ordinary for me.
Surprisingly enough, one of the friends I've made, that I have become so close to, is my cousin Jenessa. I seriously don't know how all our lives we weren't friends. I remember us playing when we were really young, probably five, but after that we avoided each other like the plague. Neither of us have a clue as to why. This girl and I have so much in common, and get a long so great, and I honestly have no idea how I made it without her! She is such a good friend to me and I'm so glad we were able to finally become close with one another. It's been one of my greatest blessings that is for sure.
(There is my ode to you Jenessa, cause I really love you so much.)
This was us on our GNO to Costa Vida, a magical place that has "Waves of gluten free options", just in case you didn't know. We had a grand old time that night without the husbands (not that we don't love them or anything...)

Then, the day after the fourth my girl Sadie asked me to go to seven peaks with her. Sade and I have known each other since 5th grade, when we were in cheer together. She always asked me to have sleepovers, but we never did. Up until junior high that is. Anyway, I really love this girl, and we had a good old time at seven peaks laying in the wave pool.
Unfortunately that is how I attained my rather nasty burned legs that debilitated me for a day... We'll skip the embarrassing details on that though.
Later that night we got together with a bunch more girl friends for a night at spark. Oh spark how we love you. We then went on over to the dollar theater to watch what to expect when you are expecting.
That movie made me bawl like, wait for it... a little baby. Ha! You see what I did there?
Okay, it was actually good, still it tore on my heartstrings a lot, but also made me laugh, and cry, and all that fun business.
I'd have to say it was a pretty successful night.

Even though I don't see my girls very often, I sure love it when I do.
