Twas the night before Christmas

I arrived home from work early. I hadn't seen a certain someone for two days, and it felt like an eternity. The excitment from knowing he was going to be spending both Christmas Eve, and day with us was almost too much to handle. I don't know how I caged the butterflies that were nearly exploding out of my chest. After I got off the phone with him (he told me he was still on the freeway) I heard his regular knock on the door. I think I squealed a little and ran quickly toward the door. I flung it open, and he stood with a bag over his head. Naturally I ripped it off, and gave him the best hug possible; noting he looked exceptionally nice clean shaven. I don't think I have ever been more excited to see someone in my entire life.
He helped me run the rest of the gifts I needed to give around, and we came to my house to be with the family. We had a lovely dinner, and helped one another wrap presents. We all got a pair of Jammies from the Christmas fairy, which is a tradition in my home.
We snuggled on the couch, in our freshly opened Pj's. I don't think I've ever been more comfortable. It was nearing midnight, and I was getting ready to give the biggest Christmas present I have ever given. Once the clock struck twelve I lead him into the other room, and had him open 3 of his presents first, before I could give him the last present. As he finished unwrapping, I gave him something very special to me, something he and only 3 others know about. He read the note accompanied with the gift, then pulled me in tightly to one of the best hugs I will ever have. I then whispered in his ear "And my answer is yes." He paused for a moment, then asked "Will you be my girlfriend?" I smiled and said I already told you the answer.
I'm quite positive my Christmas Eve and day was better than all of yours. Sorry to be so blunt but it's true. I am probably the happiest person alive right now, and nothing has thwarted that attitude. I have been extremely positive and optimistic and ready for anything that comes my way. The future is finally looking bright to me, and I can't wait.
xoxo.

Ps. Oran I hope you don't mind the telling of our little christmas tale.
